Barbara Barski-Carrow, Ph.D.

Human Resources Consultant/Educator

 Dr. Barski-Carrow, a recognized leader in workplace issues in the 21st century.  Offering lectures and seminars dealing with major psychological and emotional issues in the workplace such as:  CHANGE, TRANSITION, COPING WITH TRAUMA, GRIEF AND LOSS, SEXUAL HARASSMENT, STRESS, CONFLICT RESOLUTION, ANGER MANAGEMENT, COMMUNICATION BREAKDOWS.

Dr. Barski-Carrow has more than 30 years experience in a variety of management, administrative and technical positions in the public and private sectors.  She has designed, conducted and presented training programs, workshops and seminars for organizations, associations and governement agencies on personnel and management issues.

As Acting Director of the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) in the Office of the Secretary, Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Dr. Barski-Carrow designed and implemented creative programs including an award-winning Sexual Harassment Program and trained over 1,200 employees and managers in the headquarters and regional offices.

Her credentials include a Ph.D. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) in Adult Education and Human Resource Development.  She received an M.A. from Georgetown University in Organizational Behavior and Management.

Dr. Barski-Carrow has been a faculty member at Northern Virginia Community College and Mount Vernon College in Washington, D.C., and has been affiliated with The Women's Center in Vienna, Virginia.  She has published popular and professional articles on her research.

Based on her work and research on workplace trauma she has led adult education forums for senior management in both the public and private sectors.  Her presentations at conferences and workshops have earned her international acclaim.  In June 2003 she was featured in a Wall Street Journal article relating to workplace issues.
